I remembered the Finnish valokuvatorstai (Photography Thursday) only after I had already posted today’s image. This week’s theme was virta (=stream, current, flow, power, …).
Not again... Finns and Germans know this feeling from last night. Both experienced it three times.
A thought (ajatus) was this week’s theme in Valokuvatorstai.
Yesterday Finland and Germany played a very entertaining and hair rising World Cup football qualifier that ended 3-3 in Helsinki. Finland was leading the match three times but every time Germans tied the score.
Just for a thought: Germany has never lost a World Cup qualifier when they have been the visitors. That is amazing. Away games are always a lot more difficult than home games.

This is my first entry in the Finnish valokuvatorstai (photography Thursday). This week’s theme is summer storm 2008.
This 100th challenge is a bit unusual in a sense that it was already given before the summer break. Usually the theme is published during the first minutes of Thursday. Ideally you should use the theme as inspiration and take a photo based on the theme but I believe many of the 100-200 weekly participants use photos from their archives. I had forgotten the whole summer storm challenge when I took this photo.
