Feissari…

feissari
…(from face-to-face) is a person who contacts people at busy streets and happenings in hopes of getting donations or memberships for NGOs like Unicef, Greenpeace, Amnesty International etc.

They have appeared to Helsinki streets in larger numbers a few years. Usually they don’t bother if you avoid eye contact but today it was sad to read a tweet about a Greenpeace feissari that began insulting a passer-by.

I really don’t like the ones who ask to to sign a form to protest against drugs, then they hit you for money and get angry if you refuse to give them any. I just tell them now that I love drugs. I think they should be removed from the streets. They are all over Italy. I would like to know who is getting the money they force from people.
