Finnish war casualties are mostly from WW II and Civil War (1918-1919). After WW II about fifty peacekeepers have lost their lives on and off duty during several United Nations operations.

Heroes cross from Hietaniemi cemetary  is often involved when war casualties are being remembered. The photo is unfortunately from All Saints Day.
