Helsinki Day Ends with Samba

Helsinki day is celebrated every year on the birthday of the Finland’s capital, 12th June. One day was not enough for such an important occasion so we are having a Helsinki week as well. Actually, it lasts almost two weeks…

Helsinki samba carnaval is probably the biggest event of the week. Today the carnaval was opened and I was there as you can see from the photo. Tomorrow on Saturday samba schools will parade and compete in central Helsinki.
