I’m Gunnar’s granddaughter Susan. I was blessed to be present at his statue’s unveiling back in 1991. One of my favorite pictures from that visit is a side view of his statue with the trees in the background. I’d be happy to share it with everyone, just let me know how to send.
Thank you for your kind words about my Morfar. He was an amazing person, which is what I remember most, and we’re all so proud of his achievements both in and out of the ring.
